Meet Candi

This foundation, it’s mission, and purpose have been born from and shaped by it’s namesake, Candi.

Candi was taken from us much too young. This was largely as a result of not enough sharing, collaboration, and cultivating of information between people. This is something that can change.

Candi lived a life marked by a simple phrase, “Choose Joy!”. Regardless of the external circumstances of life, her focus was on controlling things that she could and that were most important to her. Mostly that meant being intentional in her attitude towards others. She was present and in the moment with people and in conversation. Candi thrived on listening, serving, and simply having fun with others. She was the ultimate collaborator of getting people together to share experiences, stories, learnings, and just simply themselves.

It is in this spirit that our foundation has been formed. We aim to carry on her focus on connecting people and networks of people because with that JOY can be found. We believe in the power of people coming together to help close this gap of information that exists for women who have underlying auto immune disorders and are facing a female specific cancer diagnosis.

It was always her wish to see others joyful and smiling. Help us to raise awareness and connect the people who can help make this happen through better support, clinical care, and treatment options.
